We may not know where you will be in 10 years, or when you will get married, or get that promotion, but POINT can see the future about one thing: charity.
Wondering how that can be? First watch this awesome vid.
In this TED talk, Katharine talks about the future of philanthropy while comparing it to the way giving historically was understood. As the world has changed, the ability to give has changed as well. It has gone from something reserved for the super-rich, to what the speaker calls the Democratization of Philanthropy.. ANYONE can start to share what they have by giving it to someone else in need. She talks about the future of democratic philanthropy being characterized in 3 main ways:
1) mass collaboration
2) online marketplace
3) aggregated giving
Let me ask you this: how many of these characteristics, questions, and scenarios she talks about are going to be met by POINT app? (hint: ALL OF THEM!)
One of my favorite things about what POINT will do for charity is how it EMPOWERS people to give. By making charity simple and accessible, we are moving directly down this path of futuristic philanthropy. It is open, non-exclusionary giving made easy, no matter where your passion is or what need you think you can help fill.
We know charitable giving is transforming – revolutionizing – into something the world hasn’t encountered before. This “whenever, wherever, whatever” giving is here, and POINT is your window to watch social media and charity collide. Text “@pointapp” to 81010 and you’ll join the ranks of people who’ll get POINT app first, before anyone else. How’s that for knowing what the future will look like?
To a bright future,
