Mondays at POINT

Happy August, POINT fam! (Wait…August?!)

As quickly as the year is speeding by, so are things around HQ. If you came for updates, you’re in the right place. Here’s the latest from POINT!

You complete me*

*POINT

As you may have heard, POINT’s position of Office Administrator is now open; we are excited to welcome in a secretary-extraordinaire to join our team! Emily Heskett holds the interim position and is doing amazing work fulfilling this role. Cheers to you, Emily!

This is where you come in. Yeah, YOU! If there’s anyone you know who’s all about POINT and is passionate about world needs, be sure to point them our way. A simple email to info@pointapp.org will do the trick.

In the same vein, let this serve as a reminder that POINT is always looking for more and more reps to do what they do best at high schools and universities across the country. If you or a friend is at all interested in the simple act of spreading the word about POINT locally, let us know! We can’t wait to work with you.

There’s no ‘I’ in team

Yesterday, August 9th, the team had our monthly HQ meeting at the Columbus office. To say the least, it was productive (if you saw our snapchat, you may have seen a snippet…of me turning into a camera-shy fool in front of a bunch of people. It’s fine.). Goals for the next semester were solidified – pertinent to our reps -, app development charges on in full force as always, and the team dialogued new and innovative ways to keep this creative team growing.

Some moments have us feeling like we’re driving a flying car, nervously proving the ability of individuals our age, calling on the experience of every completed day to propel us to the next.

After all, what better experts are there than those who threw themselves into the mix as they followed their passions, calling on the input of those ahead of them for the best possible direction?

The POINT team (caution: #blogbossmoment) is one I’m so grateful for. Surrounded by lives dedicated to building a social media for charity from the ground up can’t help but be inspiring. We can’t wait to put POINT in your hands next year (as well as our own).

Stick with us. You won’t be disappointed.
