Want to find a nonprofit? Introducing Local Charity Lists

Here’s the truth. It’s hard to find local nonprofits unless you know their name. We may learn about a great org in a conversation and, ahem, forget to jot it down in our notes app to follow up with later. Nobody’s perfect. But then what do you do? You’re excited about the cause and ready to #domoregood for something you care about in your city, but can’t remember where to start.

Don’t worry ‘bout it, we gotchu.

INTRODUCING OUR LOCAL NONPROFIT DIRECTORY. FIND NONPROFITS IN YOUR AREA BY THE CAUSE THEY SUPPORT.

Whether or not you remember the name, you probably remember the cause (like health or conservation). Now on the POINT app, you can click into your causes and see all of the local charities on POINT that do work for that issue. Doesn’t matter if it’s the tiny nonprofit in your neighborhood or the local chapter of a national org, if they support that cause, they’re on the list.

At POINT we think it’s really important to support community-lead efforts and organizations to build up the community in your own city. As a POINT user, you can find this in the app by clicking into the cause icons, but schools, nonprofits, businesses and other organizations that use the POINT dashboard have the local charity list in there, too. On the dashboard go to the menu on the left and select “Charities” then the cause icon you want. A list of local charities will pop up on the right in alphabetical order, and dashboard users have the option to click and see events hosted by any organization listed.

Are you a nonprofit? Create your profile here – it takes 5 minutes and is completely free.

HOW COOL IS THAT?! PRETTY DANG COOL, WE THINK.
