How can I check in my volunteers?

It is really important to check in your volunteers for POINT. Even if you don’t have the dashboard subscription (which is AWESOME, want to learn more? Check out the added features here), many schools, companies, and clubs track hours of their members. If you don’t check in a volunteer, they will be counted as a no-show.

Here’s how to make this happen:

  1. At the beginning of your event, navigate to “Events” > “Volunteers”.

  2. Click the green “Check In” box next to their name when they arrive.

3. If someone has to leave early, you have two options.

  1. Click “Check out” button next to their name.

2. After the event has ended, go back to the event and edit the volunteer’s time by clicking the little pencil. You can do this if someone arrived late as well.

4. If you are busy during the event and can’t get to your computer, you can edit check in and check out times after the event has ended. Hint: If you don’t check out a volunteer, their hours will be automatically calculated as the event time length.

Remember - even if you are not using POINT to track hours, you must check volunteers in and out. Schools, businesses, and clubs use POINT to track hours AND many volunteers use the POINT app to keep track of their own hours as well.
