Unlimited Volunteers

Dynamic Records

Private Notes

Public/Private Volunteers
Access levels allow organizations to create events that are public, or private for certain volunteers only. Setting events to public helps you recruit fresh faces. But, by using private volunteers you can ensure everyone has been onboarded, trained, or background checked. You can also use this to create events for certain groups, like schools or corporate partners.
Groups
Easily manage, communicate and keep track of groups of volunteers, like corporate, religious, school groups, and more! You can segment impact data by group and create private events for specific groups.
Subgroups
Breakdown large groups with subgroups for specific communication, event access and reporting. Subgroup data can be viewed independently, but their impact data is automatically counted towards the larger group data.
Use both Groups and SubGroups to email volunteers, create private events, reserve event spots and create group-specific data reports.
Merge Accounts
All account levels have the ability to merge user accounts in case of duplication.
Document Storage

Unlimited Events
Your volunteer program is the heart of your nonprofit, so every account level gets unlimited events. Post as many events as you need to serve your community.
Ongoing Events
Easily post recurring events, such as "tutoring every Monday". Our paid account levels can set events as "Ongoing" so you only have create it once. Events in an ongoing event series can be edited all together or one by one.
Public and Private Events
Public events recruit new faces and are open to anyone on POINT. Private events are exclusive to your chosen audience. They streamline volunteer scheduling, allowing you to handpick participants and enable self-signups!
Secret “Unlisted Events”
Secret events are not shown on the POINT feed or your org's POINT page and are not searchable. Only people who are sent the link will be able to volunteer. Tip: Nonprofits use these for corporate volunteer events!
Co-Host Events
By adding a co-host, you share the ability to manage volunteers. This means the co-host can invite volunteers, easily communicate with those signed up, edit the event info, check volunteers in, and have event impact stats counted towards their organization as well.
Group Only Access
All paid account levels can create Private group-only events. This means that you can create events specifically for groups like corporate volunteers, schools, or any other groups on your roster. Anyone in those groups can see and sign up for the event.
Program Events
Easily categorize events, volunteer hours, and even webpages into different program types for smoother management!
Shifts
Add shifts so volunteers can sign up for specific times, tasks or roles. Volunteer requirements can be changed at the shift level to find the right volunteer for that need.
Manage Event Registrations
Admins can manage event signups before the event by registering, cancelling, or reassigning volunteers.
Easy Event Self Registrations
No more playing phone or email tag, or scheduling volunteers manually. Volunteers can sign up for events or shifts instantly via the POINT website integration, app or web platform. All they have to do is tap GO. Admins are able to manage event registrations if needed.
Assign Spot Functionality
Admins can assign volunteer spots to specific volunteers as needed, this acts as a manual scheduling function. When assigning a spot to a volunteer with a claimed account, our system automatically sends registration confirmation and reminders.
Reserve Spot Functionality
Admins can reserve spots in both Public and Private events to available to certain groups of volunteers. For instance, if you're hosting a big event with a corporate group and additional volunteers, you can allocate a portion of spots exclusively for the corporate group.

Registration Deadlines
Add registration deadlines to your events, to ensure you know how many people will be there and are able to complete any onboarding needed prior to volunteering.
Registration Cancelation Deadline
Give your volunteers a deadline for cancellations, such as 24 or 48 hours. This way someone else has time to sign up for or accept their spot.
Event Templates
Create a template for your frequent volunteer events! Easily copy previously saved templates to create new events quickly. Share templates with all the admins you work with or just keep them to yourself.

Require volunteers to complete a background check during event registration. Just toggle on or off the "background check" button in the event creation form and select the screenings you need them to complete. Integrated waiver requirments
Add a waiver requirement and attach documents to events. You can customise which events have these requirements. Waivers are stored automatically in the volunteer profile.
Event Drafts
Save drafts of events to schedule postings, or to ensure signoff from any other co-hosts or admins that need to approve it.
Event Contact Info
Make sure your volunteers have contact info for the person running the event, so that they know who to contact with questions or day-of help. This is set per event.

With Pro, you have access to unlimited programs. Tag events to be listed as part of your programs, like those for the tutoring center or community garden. You can also assign volunteers to programs, and require additional trainings or attach resource documents.
Sub Programs
Create unlimited subprograms, like "Garden educators" and "Harvest crew" under your "Community Garden". Program impact data can be filtered by subgroup, to give you detailed automatic reporting options.
Admin Permissions
Admins can opt in or out of notifications for certain programs. They still have access to the program (or subprogram) but won't be flooded with notifications they don't need. Turn on notifications for admins that need to be aware of all the updates for that program.
Reports by Program
Generate reports of volunteer activity per program. Our reports are pulled automatically, and you can filter impact data by programs and subprograms to compare or include more details in your annual reports.

You can easily create events that are private for only program volunteers. Set this in the event template. You can also tag an event with a program to count towards impact data but keep it open to the public.

Volunteer Email Preference Settings
Volunteers are able to add multiple emails to their account, and set their email preferences. If they volunteer individually and with their work, they can select to get all notifications to one or both emails. They can also set preferences for which notifications they receive.

Hours can be edited and calculated in the Hours tab for a holistic view of your volunteer’s activity.

On POINT, there are 2 different types of check in stations: You can either have volunteers self-check-in on your organization’s computer or iPad via kiosk, or scan a custom QR code right from their smartphones. (You can even display a QR code from the Kiosk view, shown in the photo on the right)
